FGMC HEALING MOVEMENT GROUP

The FGMC (Female Genital Mutilation or Cutting) healing movement group for women* is facilitated by author and FGMC survivor Ntailan Lolkoki. This group aims to accept our trauma, to release our rage through forgiving our relatives and communities, to turn our pain into power through interacting and sharing our stories with each other through movement. In movement we will aim to activate our inner bodies. We will learn to breathe deeply and naturally while moving our bodies. We will be using different types of music, from soft classical music to rhythmic African music to translate our diffrent kinds of inner emotions. The movement will then evolve gradually, no need to fear, our movements are meant to be individual, natural and intuitive.

Ntailan speaks English, German and Swahili. The course will be mostly in German and English. The space can accommodate ten women* at the time.
