Über die Veranstaltung
As FLINTA* around the world, what do we actually know about one another? What do we know about our respective struggles against patriarchal oppression within our diverse communities, cultures, countries, and nations? What do we know about how we, too, become part of the oppression of our sisters and brothers when we look beyond the gender lens to also consider class, white supremacy, etc.? What pieces of the puzzle and building blocks are missing for us to build the path to liberation for all of us? Who are we as a global movement?
In VOL 5 of the series, we speak with activist Dr. Lina Zedriga Waru in Uganda, who, as part of the opposition to the Museveni regime in Uganda, has suffered severe human rights violations, been imprisoned multiple times, and experienced massive repression. But her passion and determination to advocate for liberation are unshakeable, and we’ll learn more about where Dr. Lina Zedriga draws her courage and strength from.
