Discussion with the Black Lives Matter Chapter Berlin and the Bündnis für sexuelle Selbstbestimmung
We are screening the short documentary „The Racial Politics of Abortion“ by Dawn Porter.
The film reports on the often-overlooked Black women* who seek out reproductive services in America and gives a snapshot into the lives of Black healthcare providers, mothers and pro-choice and pro-life activists and shows how laws that restrict abortion access impact Black women* and their families.
We will discuss the short documentary, draw parallels to black women*’s and women* of color’s experiences in Germany and talk about the urgency of intersectional perspectives and reproductive justice with
Diane Arce, Black Lives Matter Chapter Berlin
Johanna Warth, Bündnis für sexuelle Selbstbestimmung
